General Labourer Job Summary

Seeking a skilled, reliable general labourer for our 8:00am to 4:30pm shift, Monday to Friday (Shift times may change due to customer demands).

In this position, you will work alongside other employees in a team-oriented environment, operating machinery and equipment related to metal fabrication of exhaust parts and packaging product for delivery.

All training will be done in house and employees are required to follow all facility health and safety regulations; this includes mandatory Provincial Covid-19 legislation.

A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. Wage will be based on experience.


New employees will receive a $1000 bonus upon successful completion of the 3 month probation period.

General Labourer Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow direction and instructions from supervisors and lead hands;
• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts;
• Be able to follow and understand product order sheets;
• Unload material, keep accurate records of produced product, prepare and maintain work station;
• Follow all health and safety regulations when working in the facility or operating equipment. This includes mandatory Provincial Covid19 legislation when it applies;
• Ensure CSA approved footwear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn;
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner;
• Safely operate a variety of tools including saws, grinders, and a range of hand tools to complete daily tasks;
• Provide assistance to coworkers as needed;
• Clean, inspect and prepare product for packaging;
• Ensure work station and tools are cleaned and stored properly;

General Laborer Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent educational experience;
• Posses a valid driver's license and reliable transportation ;
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds;
• Forklift experience is considered an asset;
• Must be comfortable climbing up portable stairs to retrieve product;
• Positive attitude and work ethic;
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team;
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
