Responsibilities:

The IT Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of on
- and off-premise data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, electronic messaging, virtualization, cloud-based services, remote systems hosting, infrastructure process automation, data backup and archival systems and processes, systems management software, and related products.

Provides technical support and maximizes operational efficiency for data center infrastructure.

Performs the role of technical lead for data centre infrastructure projects.

Monitors and maintains data centre infrastructure performance and capacity.

Provides resolution support for all escalated data centre infrastructure related operational issues and service requests. Provides expertise and assistance to BTS staff concerning data centre infrastructure requirements.


Qualifications:


EDUCATION:


Requires a diploma in computer science or related discipline from a recognized institute of technology, specializing in data centre infrastructure.


EXPERIENCE:


Requires 3.5 years previous experience in an information systems environment involving the data center infrastructure design and analysis, troubleshooting and complex project implementation at a senior level in a large enterprise.

A further period of six (6) months on the job is required to become thoroughly familiar with the enterprise architecture plan, IS policies and standards and its specific infrastructure components.

Recruitment Process:

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.


Work Schedule:

37.5 hours per week.


Work Designation:

Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.


Rate of Pay:

Salary $7,255 - $8,725 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).

The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan upon eligibility.
