Technical Co-Ordinator

REPORTS TO:
Technical Director & Executive Director
BACKGROUND
Ottawa City Soccer Club operates as a non-profit soccer club in the City of Ottawa (Ottawa
West & Nepean area) and wishes to offer its members the highest possible administration
support to meet the expectations of the athletes, coaches and parents of OCSC Soccer's
programs.
Program Level:
Technical Staff (FT 40 hrs per week)
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the Technical Manager - U6-U12 Male Programs is to lead the overall
development of the club's players and coaches on all male teams/programs. The
program, with the goal of increasing participation, as well as improving their quality of
training & support to assist in developing the top male talent in the province and country.
Technical Coordinator is to collaborate with the Technical Director and Technical Manager
- Female on overall strategic objectives and plans as to align the club's overall performance,
volunteer) can coach and develop the club's player base collectively. Technical Coordinator
U6-U12 Boys is to be involved in other primary roles in the club in order to align overall
long-term development of players at all levels and ages.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Spearhead a progressive, highly focused & inspiring Male program customized to all
educational)
- To be Skill Centre male program lead, plus focus on U6-U12 development of our
- In collaboration with the TD; design and monitor the club's Long-Term Player
- In collaboration with the TD; design and monitor the club's Coach Development Plan
- In collaboration with the TD; development & execution of effective coach
Assessment, appraisal and due performance management of all direct reports
- Ensuring ongoing development of program managers, coaches & all other technical
respective execution.
- Support, Mentor, recruit and develop Coaches in OCSC
- Support TD in development of Game Model & Curriculum
- Work closely with Executive Director (ED) to create innovative and inspiring actions
- Technical reporting to the ED
- Work with Marketing & Communications Specialist to create effective marketing
programs
- Create retention and growth benchmarks
- Support Technical team in team selection process
- Adhere to all National and Provincial governing body guidelines and
- recommendations as required.
- Support Club's High-Performance & Like a Pro Camps
- Support Club Festival's, Tournament's and Events
- Ad-Hoc responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum CSA Children's License
Minimum 5 years of experience in a youth soccer environment
Strong short & long-term vision
Strong leadership capabilities
Experience with program development
Must provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector search
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- The talent and ability to influence and relate to others through strong presentation
- and communication skills
- Knowledge of Canada Soccer's LTPD model
- Demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of youth players
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and ensure deadlines are met
