Primary Purpose


Reporting to the University Registrar, the Manager, Student Records, Registration and Scheduling plays a crucial role in offering administrative assistance and overseeing the daily activities of the Student Records, Registration and Scheduling staff.

This position involves both leadership and management responsibilities and tasks related to daily workflow, student support and assistance, office projects, research, reporting, and data analysis, contributing to internal process and policy development as well as training initiatives.


The Manager, Student Records, Registration and Scheduling collaborates with the University Registrar to establish effective business practices and cultivate a service-oriented culture where prioritizing the student experience is of utmost importance.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Address inquiries from UNF staff, faculty, GUS Global colleagues, or business partners, related to applicants, students, or Office of the Registrar matters and provide accurate, timely responses.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient workflows.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental operations.
  • Conduct research, compose, and prepare official documentation and correspondence as needed.
  • Investigate and implement enhancements to current processes and provide specialized training (if applicable).
  • Design, develop, and integrate policies, procedures, and processes into daily department workflow to improve and promote best practices.
  • Participate in and support activities organized by the recruitment or student experience departments, including webinars, orientations, and student support programs.
  • Oversee the enrollment process, including student records, registration, course add/drop, withdrawals, and scheduling procedures.
  • Collaborate with admissions department to ensure seamless transitions from applicant to enrollment.
  • Implement enrollment policies and procedures in accordance with institution standards and applicable provincial and federal policies.
  • Oversee the processing of course registration consent forms for new students, including the support of student webinars and prearrival sessions.
  • Manage ongoing data integrity, ensuring that established processes are followed, staff receive proper training, and standards are consistently met and maintained.

People and Change Leadership

  • Ensures direct reports are aligned with the vision and strategic direction of the university.
  • Supports, models, and promotes diversity and respect within university and community.
  • Ensures effective change leadership processes are in place and leads change for assigned unit.
  • Take an active role in the recruitment and onboarding processes for enrollment services, student records, registration, and scheduling teams.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to teams in their daytoday duties, which may span multiple campuses or remote working setups.
  • Collaborate with University Registrar to assess staff performance and ensure that established standards are consistently upheld.
  • Develop and execute strategies focused at motivating and incentivizing staff to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively.
  • Strategically plan and implement training interventions for staff as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to facilitate open and consistent communication between Office of the Registrar leadership members and the student records, registration, enrollment services, and records teams.
