About the role:


Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Temporary full-time
Shipper/Receiver II to join our dynamic
Supply Chain Operations East team.


The
Supply Chain Operations East team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing assistance in the warehouse with Consumables Inventory and Finished Product.

In this role, you will receive, store, organize, retrieve, assemble, and distribute blood product orders required to support Canadian Blood Services operations.


Formula for success:


  • Leveraging your excellent customer service skills, you will collaborate with the Logistics Department as well as internal and external customers.
  • Drawing on your knowledge or experience in the warehouse, you will receive, store, organize, retrieve, and assemble Consumables Inventory items.
  • You will distribute Consumables Inventory orders and Finished Product orders.
  • You will maintain storage facility within Materials Management, and perform additional duties as required.

Desired education and skills:


  • Minimum two (2) years' experience as a shipper/receiver within a Logistics environment, with preference in a warehouse and inventory distribution setting.
  • Technical skills including including inventory control programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with a typing speed of 45 wpm.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills being able to exercise tact, sound judgement and discretion when dealing with others is a must.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as being able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within short time lines.
  • WHMIS, TDG and MSDS experience is an asset.

  • Shifts/hours are parttime hours scheduled between 7:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday.
  • Physical requirements ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs and push cars weighing up to 350 lbs.
