Position Overview
Reporting to the Fleet Director, the
Equipment Business Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing various weekly and monthly reports, performing analysis on data, and working on a variety of special projects for the Fleet team. The Equipment Business Analyst will sit out of out
Calgary, Alberta office.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet & Equipment Utilization Analysis.
- Reported Hours vs. GPS variance analysis.
- Creation & distribution of Utilization reports to Management, Operations & Safety.
- Liaison between Operations & Equipment team regarding utilization.
- Profit & Loss Analysis.
- Actual vs. Budget Analysis.
- Annual Rate Analysis.
- Fuel Consumption Analysis.
- Telematics Analysis & Development.
- Idling Report.
- Speed Violation Report.
- Km Driven Report.
- Lead appropriate training and rollout of new initiatives.
- Technology Investigation & Development.
- Investigate groundbreaking technology as it relates to Fleet.
- Create & Generate various Reports.
- Prepare Capital Budget Master Files.
- Prepare and maintain equipment rental reconciliations.
- Special Projects acquisitions, integrations.
- Work with Fleet Director and Business Unit leads to define equipment policies and procedures.
- Update and maintain Aecon Equipment Manual
Required Knowledge and Experience
- SAP/Business Objects experience is a requirement.
- Microsoft Office proficient with advanced Excel, PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail.
- Demonstrated critical reasoning ability.
- Data mining/collection and manipulation experience.
- Demonstrate high goal achievement orientation.
- Technical background.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the confidence and ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large organization.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multitask.
- Ability to adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
