Office Coordinator
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Location:
Kamloops, BC
Salary:
$25-$27/hr. (Negotiable)
Who we are:
Big Country Equipment is a BC-based heavy equipment service repair company that works with resource-based customers in the construction, forestry, mining, and oil and gas sectors in Western Canada.
We have grown rapidly from a one-truck operation to over 65 employees and a fleet of 25 fully-tooled service trucks, taking care of customers throughout Western Canada 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing office supplies and ensuring they are adequately stocked
- Maintaining accurate and uptodate records, including employee files
- Handling confidential information with discretion
- Assisting with other general administrative tasks as needed
- Coordinating with travel companies and providing necessary details about employees that are needing to travel.
- Coordinate and support field personnel, including but not limited to, assisting with scheduling, and data entry.
- Other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office administration or a similar role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Having experience with managing large employee shift changes, and scheduling is preferred
- Having worked in a civil or construction or mining contracting business would be considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience working in a fastpaced and deadlinedriven environment
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Must have a valid driver's license
