The Opportunity
The City of St.

Albert Policing Services is recruiting for a Supervisor, Administrative and Operational Support to oversee the Administrative and Operational Support unit within the Policing Services Branch.

This position is the lead on setting direction for the work area, by allocating and scheduling resources for the unit, to ensure that the required support is provided in accordance with the RCMP Municipal Policing Agreement.

You will also be responsible for RCMP file review, local RCMP database quality assurance and maintenance, court document support and processing as well as administrative functions including building maintenance liaison, security clearances and other various RCMP operational and administrative supports as required.


The scope of this work requires advanced knowledge of RCMP operations in the areas of records management and court processes.

Advanced technical knowledge and skills within the RCMP records management system (PROS) as well as the Provincial Court Records System (JOIN) are essential.

You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Provincial Community Peace Officer status level 2 for the swearing of information and appropriate court document processing.


As the Supervisor, Administrative and Operational Support, you will be responsible for administering the budgets for the program area which includes department goals, developing business plans and business cases.

You will provide leadership to a staff of eleven direct reports and play a key role in modeling corporate values and culture within a unique policing environment, where both Federal RCMP employees work side by side with municipal employees.


Qualifications

  • A 1year certificate in a relevant field such as Office or Business Management along with 5 years of supervisory experience working within a police, justice, and/or government environment (RCMP preferred).
  • Community Peace Officer Level 2 status.
  • PROS Information Manager Certificate and completion of CPIC course.
  • Fully conversant in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Knowledge of RCMP information systems (ciids, JOIN, CPIC, PROS, ROSS, RCMP, PIRS, Infoweb).

Hours of Work


Compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 with a regular day off every two weeks).

HYBRID REMOTE WORK

Compensation
$79,053 - $97,296 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a comprehensive flexible benefit package.
