Specific Responsibilities include:

Day to day management of the warehouse operations, including:
Leading the assignment of all warehouse work on a daily basis in conjunction with the warehouse manager and customer service supervisor.
Manage the workflow, dealing with customer requirements, staff coordination, etc
Manage space to the maximum efficiency, and to maximize capacity.
Ensure all work performed can be done safely and without undue risk to staff, equipment, freight.
Measurement of warehouse performance and productivity.
Understanding the customers' needs and working with warehouse staff to ensure these needs are fulfilled.
Identifying problem situations with customer shipments, and order and consulting, as required, to bring these problems to resolution.
Maintaining, producing and submitting customer reports to Warehouse Manager.
Collecting various paperwork and distributing to the appropriate individuals including all production reports on daily, wtd, mtd, and ytd basis.
Engage in other projects and activities as is necessary to the position and as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
35 years previous warehouse experience is required.
13 years in a similar leadership role management daytoday warehouse activity.
Experience in the transportation industry is considered an asset.
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills, problemsolving abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage in a multitask environment.
Knowledge of all forklift equipment and handling procedures.
Certified Forklift Operator and Instructor.
