Work with Controller and accounting staff to help ensure all accounting functions are compliant with specific accounting, tax, and regulatory filing standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • For all invoices from vendors and employees' expense, printing, sorting, coding, threeway matching, and posting & recording in accounting software promptly.
  • Responsible for monitoring aging of accounts payables and ensuring all payments to vendors and employees are on time.
  • Verifying that proper approval with signature for all invoices, expense, corporate credit card and acceptable backup documentation is present.
  • In a timely manner, coordinating with vendors regarding invoicing and payment information, inquiries and discrepancies including monthly reconciliation of vendor statements.
  • Set up EFT and cheque payments weekly to be approved by management and send remittances to vendors and employees.
  • Filing/scanning of documents while maintaining electronic and paper files in a timely manner.
  • Ensure inventory receiving status fully received or review completed before processing PO bills
  • Prepare inbound shipment vouchers for inventory receiving team
  • Assist in the identification & preparation of monthly accounts payable accruals.
  • Assist in annual external auditing and periodic government agency auditing.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills & Requirements

  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a highvolume environment
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
  • Handson experience with MS Office Excel and Word processing skills
  • Organized and able to effectively prioritize a workload under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform filing and recordkeeping tasks
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

Education

  • College diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Business

Experience
3 years and over of relevant accounting experience


Compensation
$42-48K plus discretionary bonus and group benefit
