What We Are Looking For:


Responsibilities:


  • Managing a busy partner and two law clerks
  • Administratively assist with the preparation and completion of all necessary documentation for commercial real estate purchase, sale and mortgage transactions from beginning to end
  • Prepare reporting letters and statements of account
  • Handle off title enquiry letters and offtitle enquiry charts
  • Assist with various other project, financing and development work, as needed
  • Organizing files and keeping all electronic and physical filing up to date
  • Manage duties related to LSO requirements, including in connection with file opening, client verification, entering and tracking CPD hours
  • Produce the highest quality of work
  • Handle daily administrative details
  • Manage duties related to billing and accounting
  • Accountable for all work assigned
  • Arrange meetings

  • Takes initiative

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years' previous experience as a Legal Assistant in commercial real estate law
  • Successful completion of a related postsecondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
  • Experience in Conveyancer and Teraview
  • Flexible to work over time as required
  • Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
