RESPONSIBLITIES:

The following duties outline, but do not limit, the regular position requirements. These may be revised from time to time as business conditions dictate, at the discretion of the Manager.

  • Daily project monitoring and managing, i.e. tracking of tasks, milestones and risks;
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and ad hoc project update reports, meeting minutes and summaries;
  • Organize, chair and record the minutes of weekly Product Development meetings and various other meetings as required with functional departments to discuss project issues and status;
  • Identify and create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning;
  • Drive continuous improvement in ATX's project management processes that will result in better visibility and more predictable R&D product development schedules;
  • Support Engineering management and the Director of Operations on other related projects and tasks as required;
  • Cooperatively work with various project team members, each responsible for an element of the project or related task;
  • Ensuring Company ISO procedures are followed during product development;
  • Performs all tasks in accordance with established Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, ISO requirements; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following criteria are the minimum qualifications required for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or College diploma/certificate in Project Management or equivalent;
  • Professional Project Manager (PMP) Certification is preferred or working towards;
  • Minimum of 35 years of engineering and project management experience in electronics hardware development and/or electronics manufacturing;
  • Experienced with building project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, etc;
  • Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills to manage multiple small to midsize projects in parallel, with tight time constraints;
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams without having direct authority;
  • Ability to communicate relevant information at all levels, from technicians to senior management
  • Goaloriented approach and the ability to work with mínimal supervision;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, to work with internal and external associates;
  • Thrives in a team environment with high level of interaction with colleagues
  • Strong technical project management skills;
  • Superior communication skills both oral and written to exchange and receive complex information across the organization;
  • Project management experience in a software development environment is an asset;
  • Familiarity with 75ohm RF technology is an asset;

SUPERVISION:


  • This position will not directly supervise other staff but will organize project teams and activities.

TRAVEL

  • This position will not regularly require travel.
