Science North is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of Organizational Development Officer.

This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting several key functions of the Organizational Development team, operate as a key resource for staff and management across the organization and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes and initiatives.

Through a lens of organizational excellence, you will contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace culture within the organization.


Position highlights:


  • HRIS and payroll functions/process
  • Generate reports, provide key information for compensation reviews, administer employee changes, provide HRIS data maintenance and employee support
  • Benefits and pension administration
  • Operate as a key resource and support for staff, lead day to day administration (in conjunction with finance team) including enrollment, changes, and inquiries
  • Recognition program and events
  • Plan, organize and execute recognition and other innovative employee engagement programs


  • Systems work

  • Leverage and master software such as HRIS, Applicant Tracking, Learning Management, Recognition and Benefits


  • Employee Relations

  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance on HRrelated matters

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Administration or equivalent experience
  • Outgoing attitude with an ability to thrive under a multitasking and deadline driven environment
  • Skillful communication abilities, both oral and written
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational skills and experience working in a detailoriented environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities

Compensation Highlights:


  • Competitive salary package range ($35,800 to $40,000)
