Supervisor, Business & Workforce Integration
ISANS is seeking a Full-time
Supervisor, Business & Workforce Integration to provide day-to-day supervision of Business and Workforce Integration Team employees, activities of the programs, and services within the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daytoday supervision of BWI team members
- Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of the BWI programs and services
- Conducting program observations and monitoring program evaluations
- Initiating and coordinating crossteam collaboration and training
- Liaising with supervisors/team leads across ISANS to ensure ongoing links to existing resources/supports/programs and providing consistent approaches
- Coordinating service delivery scheduling during expected and unexpected employee absence
- Managing timeoff requests and overtime accrual usage proactively in time management system
- Reviewing timesheets and local travel expenses for BWI team, for final approval of Manager
- Working knowledge of BWI team budget(s)
- Writing funder reports and/or proposals in conjunction with the Manager
- Participating in hiring of new BWI staff
- Organizing and delivering new hire orientation, mentoring and support
- Monitoring and providing support to BWI team members on client/staff issues, elevating to Manager when appropriate
- Coordinating, facilitating and monitoring attendance to team meetings and training sessions
- Keeping team manager informed of major BWI service delivery issues that need to be addressed
- Supporting checkin conversations as agreed with Manager
- Supporting Manager in implementing service delivery changes, new strategies, programs, and procedures
- Ensuring all BWI staff are keeping informed on business and labour market trends and ISANS or Government policy changes
- Filling in for Manager when absent in regard to programs and staff issues, elevating to Director as required
General responsibilities:
- Providing information as required for internal/external reports and proposals
- Reviewing and adhering to ISANS workplace policies and procedures
- Recording all relevant client information on databases in a consistent and timely manner as appropriate to the position
- Participating fully in regular staff meetings, team meetings, training and development and ISANS events
- Overseeing and or providing training on NewOrg (ISANS internal database), funder databased and processes and procedures for all BWI staff
- Flexibility ability to work some evenings and weekends as required
- Performing other duties as required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or similar field or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating programs or projects
- Mentoring, coaching, developing, and managing the performance of resultsoriented teams
- Writing high quality proposals and reports for funders
- Experience working in a crosscultural environment; experience delivering direct service to immigrants preferred
- Delivering presentations face to face and/or online
- Experience in group facilitation
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of business and/or employer support programs and services
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Strong networking and relationshipbuilding skills
- Excellent technological ability in MS Suite as well as other computer programs and databases: data input, queries, generating developing reports, spreadsheets, presentation documents
- Additional languages an asset

Terms of Employment:
- Indefinite
- Fulltime 35 hours per week
- During the COVID19 pandemic, your work location may be at ISANS' office or at home. Work location will be determined by operational requirements, public health recommendations, and government requirements.
