In our accelerated growth journey and mission to Do Some Good for animals and the planet, we are looking for an innovative, mission-driven sourcing leader to help build a globally trusted and loved brand and scale into the most successful omni-channel and sustainability focused CPG company in the world.

Where You'll Come in:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, and working closely with our Chief Brand Officer and Co-Founder who leads our Mission and Impact team, the Vice President, Sustainable Sourcing will play a critical role in advancing Open Farm's commitment to sustainability and ethical practices throughout our supply chain.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term sourcing strategies that maintain the integrity, sustainability and efficiency of our sourcing operation.

This role will lead initiatives to maximize regenerative agriculture in our supply chain and continue to expand our network of world-leading farms who are at the cutting edge of animal welfare.

How You'll Make An Impact:

Develop and implement Open Farm's longterm strategic sourcing strategy, focusing on animal proteins that meet Open Farm's animal welfare standards and regenerative agriculture goals
Bring a deep knowledge of the farm landscape for highwelfare lamb, beef, pork, and poultry as well as sustainable fisheries to help expand strategic supplier relationships.
Lead the assessment and selection of new suppliers, ensuring they meet Open Farm's sustainability criteria and ethical standards.
Build strong supplier partnerships across existing and new farm partners.
Work closely with other members of Open Farm's mission team to implement our animal welfare standards and certification program, ensuring compliance and excellence in animal welfare practices across all operations, as well as the continual improvement of our certification and standards programs.
Unlock opportunities for innovative ethical sourcing solutions across Open Farms Supply Chain, such as whole animal sourcing.
Collaborate with supplier partners to build programs that support Open Farm's growing supply requirements while giving farms the outlets they need to grow their businesses.

(Professional Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on sustainability and animal welfare practices.
Deep expertise in global meat markets, industry trends, and protein supply chain dynamics.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful global sustainability and sourcing strategies in a related industry.
Deep knowledge of sustainability standards, certifications, and best practices in agriculture, animal welfare, and environmental conservation.
Proven agility in adapting to market shifts and implementing risk management strategies in protein procurement.
Exceptional negotiation, relationshipbuilding, and project management skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading crossfunctional initiatives.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing and engaging diverse stakeholders.
