Inside Technical Sales Representative

By joining the team, you will

  • Prepare quotations, bids and estimates for customers, within the required deadline and follow up proactively on them within the set timeframe;
  • Provide pricing, product availability, delivery and schedule information;
  • Provide technical information as needed and propose solutions and/or alternatives that meet business needs and customer requirements;
  • Process, communicate and track orders accurately in the system;
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relations;
  • Ensure that all pertinent information is received from the client to process orders;
  • Respond to requests for pricing and availability of products;
  • Gather the necessary information from manufacturers for special orders;
  • Respond to customer complaints or requests for aftersales service and follow up with the appropriate department and the customer;
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Orbinox products, customer requirements, and company practices relating to pricing, accounting terms and conditions as well as shop practices.
- _Collaborate with other departments (Production, Engineering, Outside Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Accounting) throughout the entire process in order to meet customer expectations and deadlines._


Required qualifications

  • A minimum of 23 years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, or a similar role, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector;
  • All educational degrees are welcome. Engineering or a related field is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with industrial valves or related products is preferred;
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications;
  • Strong oral and written communication and troubleshooting skills;
  • Relevant experience in quoting and selling product;
  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism and customer service skills;
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English (oral and written);
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word);
  • Must be able to work independently as well as being a team player;
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining client focus.
  • Able to prioritize and manage workload;
  • Conscientious, detail oriented, excellent organizational and timemanagement skills;
  • Knowledge of Salesforce software (an asset);
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with customers;
  • Ability to understand and explain technical products;
