    Description

    Joining us at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH), located in Trail, B.C, you'll play a pivotal role within our interdisciplinary team, implementing our established Home Health and Community Care Rehabilitation Programs.

    Operating within a client-centered framework, you'll be responsible supporting adults with a variety of physical disabilities, assisting with activities of daily living, and implementing group and individual programs in clients' homes and in community sites.

    Your duties are intended to allow clients to maximize their functional ability, remain at home and engage in meaningful activity.



    Within this role, a Community Rehabilitation Assistant:

    • Is encouraged to work at top of scope.
    • Engages clients with regular therapeutic interventions.
    • Has a huge impact on progression of client needs and their rehab journey.
    • Is an intrical member of the rehabilitation team.
    • Is relied on to be the eyes and ears of the rehabilitation team.

    KBRH's Community Care Clinic provides a range of nursing care and other professional health services in the community.

    Examples of some services offered in the clinics include:

    Wound care treatments performed by a nurse; intravenous antibiotic treatment; client teaching related to treatments or specific diseases or conditions; rehabilitation; social work consultation; group education on managing a chronic health condition.
