We now have an opportunity for an experienced Post-Production Coordinator

Reporting to:
Director of Post Production

Purpose:
Why you're here at 9 Story Media Group

  • To coordinate the delivery of leicas, offlines and final deliverables through scheduling the editor(s) time effectively and communicating regularly with the Post Production Supervisor and Production to ensure all milestones are met.

Delivery:

  • Weekly editing schedules
  • Priority task lists for editors
  • Scheduled screenings and reviews for editors, directors, clients and other production staff
  • Coordinated Online schedules, screenings and QC fixes.

Measurements:
How we measure it

  • On schedule delivery of assigned tasks in line with project schedule
  • Accurate and up to date edit schedules and trackers
  • Efficient and effective communication across Post and other departments
  • Feedback from Post Supervisors, Editors, Directors and other key production staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: What you are regularly responsible for doing
  • Coordinating the assigned project(s) from Leica to final master delivery, tracking progress at every stage in line with the schedule from the Post Supervisor and Production.
  • Preparing weekly and daily editorial schedules ensuring Editors have a clear understanding of their deadlines and tasks.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for Edit, ensuring effective communication between Edit and Production regarding supply of necessary elements, notes and deadlines to ensure on schedule delivery.
  • Updating the Post Production Supervisor and Production regularly on progress and flagging any potential issues.
  • Updating various trackers and schedules promptly to ensure clear information is available to the Post Supervisor and Production.
  • Liaising with outside vendors to coordinate Post Audio, DV, captioning, QC and any other required deliverables.
  • Reviewing QC reports with the Online Editor and Production and coordinating fixes when necessary.
  • Coordinating final deliveries making sure all deliverables are sent to the broadcaster accurately and adhering to deadlines.

Key Requirements

  • Requirements for the role: Things that help you do your job (what is essential & what is desirable)
Knowledge

  • A good understanding of schedules and deadlines; project management techniques.
  • An understanding of the 2D animation pipeline and processes (desirable).
Experience

  • Prior TV/Media Coordinating Experience (animation experience an asset, not required)
  • Prior Post Production experience (desirable).
  • Experienced in scheduling and maintaining tracking documents.
Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of NLE software, i.e., Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to use asset tracking software e.g., Autodesk Shotgrid (desirable).
