This unique position would suit a trade person who is a jack-of-all-trades as it involves a wide range of duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Reporting:
- Review properties and tenant spaces and complete building inspection reports.
- Keep Property Managers and Operations Manager up to date on maintenance issues and future concerns.
- Review scope of repairs performed by trades are completed to Beedie standards and updates are provided to Property Managers and tenants.
- Help Property Managers compile accurate estimates on immediate repairs/maintenance issues and for future capital planning.
- Ensure seasonal trades (Landscaping/snow removal etc.) complete contractual obligations.
- Keep tenants informed on timing of maintenance issues and or repairs.
- **Maintenance**:
- Respond to tenant requests and troubleshoot building issues.
- Arrange for nominated trades to undertake repairs and ensure a Beedie quality repair has been achieved and scope of repairs has been completed.
- Repair / replace / adjust locks and door closures.
- Make minor repairs to Tbar ceiling grid and ceiling tile systems.
- Undertake minor drywall, painting and finish carpentry repairs.
- Understand and be knowledgeable of construction building, mechanical and HVAC systems to better help, track and find problems once noted and or undertake minor repairs if possible.
- Understand and be aware of potential hazardous materials contained within a building.
- **Miscellaneous**:
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs to stop leaks if possible before a plumber can attend.
- Help clean up and drying out after minor flooding.
- Water plants for various buildings
- Pressure washing of building exterior areas.
- Roof /drain inspections
- Weed and scrub brush removal
- Additional duties as required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- At least 5 years of work experience in a similar position or restoration/renovation role
- Level 1 first aid is an asset as is boom/scissor lift and fall protection training
- Competency in using online reporting software and Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge of BC Building Codes
- Read and interpret blueprints and building plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work as a team player with fellow coworkers, subtrades and consultants
- Have attention to detail and good organization skills
- Professionally represent the Company with excellent customer service skills
- Be adaptable when working in tenant areas to minimize disruptions
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Can lift up to 50lbs and perform other physically demanding duties
- Commit to ensuring a safe workplace
- Punctual, reliable, dependable, and selfmotivated
