Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:
- As the Real Estate Manager, you will lead real estate strategy, planning and execution for Arc'teryx stores in North America. You will partner with key stakeholders to identify future store site opportunities, lead negotiations to secure the best retail sites, in addition to managing a portfolio of existing leased locations. You will ensure that expectations are set on quality, timelines, budget, and analyze new lease commitments to confirm accuracy and competitiveness are aligned with the vision, goals, and brand's purpose. This will require handson leadership as we navigate new communities globally.
Meet Your Future Team:
- The Store Development Team collaborates with key stakeholders and strategic partners in the global development of new retail stores by identifying future locations, assessing the viability, developing business cases/executive summaries for proposed locations, and working with regional teams to develop a threeyear market plan. This position will work closely with Director, Real Estate Development, Store Designers and Construction Managers, to manage our real estate in North America.
If you were the Real Estate Manager, North America, now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Identifying future locations, assessing their viability, developing business cases/executive summaries for proposed locations, and working with regional teams to create five-year market plan
- Supporting strategic business planning process (SBP) with qualitative and quantitative market data
- Establishing and maintaining landlord and broker relationships to inform the real estate community of company objectives and site requirements
- Leading lease negotiations, partner with key stakeholders including legal, operation, finance, store design and construction
- Managing lease obligations across existing store portfolio and store lifecycle initiatives
- Leading lease renewals and store relocations
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Analyzing store performance, occupancy costs against industry standards and competitors
- Managing special leasing projects including office, warehouse, and new retail concepts
- Leading Arc'teryx real estate in new international markets
- Coordinating vendor proposals and contract negotiations
- Identifying and leading process improvement initiatives
Are you our next Real Estate Manager, North America?:
- You have 5+ years' experience leading retail real estate projects for cross-functional teams
- You have 3+ years experience managing commercial leasing
- You have strong relationshipbuilding skills and experience working closely with crossfunctional partners to operationalize key strategic initiatives
- You have welldeveloped critical thinking and business curiosity, analytical and creative problemsolving skills and strong ability to work with complex data to drive insights and decisions
- You have strong communication and presentation skills
- You have a strong ability to drive work to ensure deadlines are met
- You are a team player with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, AND in a collaborative environment
- You are driven to problem solve, and are open to learning
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
