We are currently looking for a GUEST SERVICES MANAGER to join our dynamic team at BLACK+BLUE RESTAURANT. Inspired by the classic steakhouses of Chicago, Black+Blue re-imagines the concept for a new generation.

A massive dining room built around a custom-built meat locker, filled with the most exotic and precious cuts, it's the sexiest room and hottest vibe in the city.

A three-storey temple dedicated to creating amazing experiences, expressly designed for the people who make Vancouver an amazing place to be.


As a personal representation of the service and overall brand, it is the job of the GUEST SERVICES MANAGER to ensure all our guests feel welcomed and appreciated.

The GUEST SERVICES MANAGER rallies the host team and models positive and engaging behaviour to ensure our hosts feel valued and understand the importance of their contribution to the overall success of the guest experience.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create a positive guest experience that begins with a friendly greeting and warm smile

Cultivate loyal patrons; recognize and acknowledge repeat guests

Accurately take reservations that optimize each service period

Efficiently maintain and organize restaurant by managing guest flow while maximizing seating capacity

Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation and seat them accordingly

Maintain knowledge of menu items, table numbers and server sections

Handle guest complaints quickly and efficiently - seek management assistance, if needed

Prepare station chart and assign stations to staff following restaurant procedures

Assist in the scheduling of the host team

Train new hosts, ensure their training plan is complete


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years' experience in similar high-volume environment

3+ years' experience in managing people

A positive, energetic outlook and a genuine personality

Enjoys working with people and has a passion for hospitality

Excellent organization and time management skills

Ability to proactively anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations

Strong communication skills; verbal and written

Understands the dynamic of a team working towards a common goal
