    Description:


    We are seeking a highly skilled Waterpower Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our hydro team, you will be responsible for working with clients to understand their needs and matching them with Stantec's service offerings.


    • This role requires experience with design, construction, and operation of dams, spillways, intake structures, water conveyances and powerhouses as well as the associated equipment of gates, valves, turbine-generator units and balance of plant.

    You will work closely with project engineers and managers to assist in planning, designing and preparing drawings technical specifications capital cost estimates in connection with engineering projects. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate across the corporate hierarchy.


    • Engineer degree from an accredited university preferably structural or mechanical engineering; post-graduate degree an asset
    • Professional designation obtained in at least one Canadian Province (P.Eng.)
    • A minimum 10 years' experience within consulting environment; knowledge software used in analysis desing proficient Microsoft Office Suite Project management demonstrated organizational communication small medium multi-disciplinary projects desired
