Summer Intern, Jr. IT Compliance Analyst

End date:
August 2024


Location:
Hybrid, with in-person opportunities at our head office in Markham, ON


KEY RESPONSIBIILTIES AND DUTIES

  • Involved in field inspections, job observations, audits and other types of reviews to monitor compliance to requirements.
  • Will assist in the management of IT risk register, security exception process and nonconformance tracker.
  • Works with key stakeholders to document corrective and preventative measures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Tracks remediation plan for identified findings from various assessment.
  • Reports to management of areas of potential risks, resulting from compliance monitoring.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Working on a College certificate or University degree in an ITrelated or cybersecurity program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Information Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO2700
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Experience in working within an OT environment.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

Designation of one of the following Certifications is a bonus: Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
