At JGW Machine Limited our capabilities include engineering and design, machining, tooling and complete quality control. Process capabilities include laser welding, CNC machining, production welding, metal spinning, powder coat painting, finishing and assembly services. We ship metal components, weldments, and full assemblies globally. JGW Machine Limited has a tradition of quality metal fabricated products at competitive prices. We specialize in short run, tight tolerance metal forming, fabrication, welding and assembly.


The job responsibilities would be as follows:

  • Sets up and operates machine to bend metal structural shapes, such as bars, rods, angles, pipes, and tubes, to angle or contour specified by work order, drawings, templates, or layout: Selects and bolts holding clamp, die block, and guide clamp to machine.
  • Operate machines Ercolina (Top Bender up to 23/8" OD) & Tauring (coil type bending)
  • Machine setups with multiple bend profiles in one part
  • Examines specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements;
  • Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties;
  • Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards;
  • Packages for shipping. Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported;
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting experience;
  • Ensures that the finished product meets established quality standards using all tools and ISO procedures;
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager;

  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures and is accountable for the health and safety of employees under his supervision by; making sure that employees work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures and providing adequate training for employees in specific work tasks to help reduce or eliminate the risk of workplace injuries;
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with JGW Code of Business Conduct and in accordance to the JGW Confidentiality Policy.

  • CNC Production experience;
  • Ability to perform and set up machines in area assigned to;
  • Ability to complete tasks in team environment;
  • Capable of measuring the dimensions of part/product to print;
  • Ability to read prints;
  • Ability to complete tasks in team environment;
  • Ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision;
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in team environment;
  • Knowledge of metal materials.

  • May be required to stand for prolonged periods of time;
  • May be required to perform a wide range of movements, including bending, crawling, crouching and kneeling;
  • Occasional exposure to hot conditions in warm months.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;
  • Technical program through college or university an asset;
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations;
  • Minimum 3 years experience with fabrication shop equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years metal working experience preferred.
This position is located in Princeton, Ontario, which is 25 minutes from Kitchener/Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
