Bricklayer Labourer/mason's Tender - Burlington, Canada - Kaboom Masonry Inc.

Description

• Set up job site and scaffolding and prepare required tools and materials
• Assist with the preparation of concrete and mortar
• Help the mason to lay stones, bricks, blocks, and several other materials to form structures
• Ensure that surfaces are prepared before beginning work
• Mold expansion joints and edges with the use of the necessary tools such as edging tools, jointers, straightedge, and so on
• Mix mortar, grout or cement and move it to the work area
• Cut bricks that are needed for corners, arches, and complex patterns
• Ensure that the required tools needed for a job or project are ready and wellkept after the job
• Clean up job site and break down scaffolding upon job completion
• Operate company vehicles safely
• Take required safety & trade training courses (at the company's expense)
• Occasionally perform emergency work, including board ups
• Any and all other tasks & operations which may be assigned
• Adhere to Kaboom Masonry's Health and Safety Policies
• Ability to lift 80 lbs

• Legally eligible to work and bondable in Canada
• Own transportation to shop in Burlington
• Valid G2 or G Driver's license required, with a good driver's abstract
• Ability to work in a team focused environment, as well as delivering quality and productivity when working independently
• Great work ethic and reliable attendance
• Pride of workmanship, attention to detail
• Work hard, be safe and have a positive attitude
