Position Overview

Main Responsibilities

Lead the monthly close and monthly reporting required by shareholders
Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements (consolidated and standalone)
Review monthly schedules (AP & AR subledgers, accruals, prepaids, income taxes, fixed assets, GST/QST )
Prepare monthly currency reevaluations
Review bank transaction entries and bank reconciliations
Review IT general controls
Maintain key financial reporting controls and policies
Review cash variation analysis
Prepare balance sheet / P&L variation analysis
Review intercompanies reconciliations and transactions
Contribute to annual audits preparation
Work closely with the Controller and other members of the accounting team on different projects
Solve technical problems day to day and propose solutions to improve process
Adhoc accounting analysis and reconciliations
Help managing the accounting system

Experience and Qualifications:

2 to 5 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, IT systems and Microsoft systems
Team player & excellent interpersonal skills
Multitasking skills
Excellent attention to detail
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains knowledge an asset
Bilingual with strong communication skills (written and verbal) in the French and English language
