Description

Key Responsibilities:

Positively participate in the Company safety program and adhere to all safety requirements.
Observe compaction speed / effort to compliment material lay down production to ensure proper compaction and workmanship.
Operate selfpropelled steelwheeled, rubbertired, vibrator, segmented or other type of roller to compact surfaces.
Other duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work with other operators. Ability to discuss and plan daily project with fellow personnel to maximize productivity and workmanship.
Determine speed and direction of machine based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures.
Must be alert and able to work safely around moving road construction equipment
Must have strong regard for ethics

Experience/ Education:

Experience in the industry an asset
Valid driver's license (Alberta Class 5, or equivalent) with own transportation may be required.
