Planning Improvement Analyst


Summary:


Reporting to the Planning and Analytics Manager, The Planning Improvement Analyst is responsible for gathering, reporting, and providing analysis of inventory volumes to make key demand and supply decisions as well as assistance with the mid to long-term (MLT) Supply Planning improvement processes and projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform inventory management duties such as Safety Stock analysis, Lead Time review, MOQ review.
  • Assist the Sales team by providing essential information related to inventory planning and to develop or enhance stock agreements for negotiation with customers.
  • Monitor and improve key parameters and controls related to inventory, to ensure high service levels.
  • Manage inventory levels, identify overstocked inventory, and work crossfunctionally to identify root causes and find potential solutions.
  • Review Batches on Hold Report and work on the corrective actions to prevent future shortages.
  • Proactively identify raw materials at risk of stockout; develop and execute action plans to mitigate low supply.
  • Collaborate with atrisk inventory analyst to reduce risks related to excess inventory.
  • Perform advanced data analysis and recommend actions that will increase efficiencies in the inventory planning process.
  • Work in modeling projects to understand and enhance supply planning processes.
  • Recommend and implement work processes that effectively incorporate improvements, as well as document department's standard procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial/Operations Engineering or Business required
  • 3 years of related work experience preferred
  • APICS/ CPIM preferred
  • ERP system knowledge preferred
  • Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, MS Office, Data Analysis Tools
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
