RESPONSIBILITIES
This role requires availability for rotating 10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday with additional overtime as required. Day shift 7:00am - 5:00pm, afternoon shift 5:00 pm - 3:00am.
- Responsible for safely operating a 10 ton and 25 ton crane for installing and removing production tooling.
- Responsible for setting up tooling in die cast machines to run production.
- Install auxiliary equipment as required.
- Machine setup as outlined on master setup instruction parameters
- Troubleshooting and repairing issues with cast dies during production.
- Polishing and removing aluminum and graphite from tooling.
- Assembling and disassembling complex cast dies.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Work in a safe, efficient manner in cooperation with other factory employees.
- Accurate, concise completion of downtime logs at the end of each shift.
- Conduct visual inspection of all cranes, forklifts, lifting equipment and tools for safe operation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 35 years experience in an aluminum diecasting environment preferred
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting skills
- 1 or more years of Crane or Forklift experience
- TIG welding experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools in a mechanical setting
- Comfortable working within confined spaces
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
- Highly organized, and selfmotivated with above average time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fastpaced environment and adapt quickly and effectively to change
- Computer literate and mechanically inclined
- Strong hand/eye coordination
- Team player, able to work well with others
- Good housekeeping in the work area of responsibility
