Position Summary:
Provide direct nursing care to patients to ensure compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality clinical care.

Essential Functions:

Must be a Regulated Health Care Professional (Lab Technician, Registered Practical Nurse or equivalent).
Provide direct care to patients in the Interventional Pain Clinics alongside the Medical Team
Must have Medical Office experience
Assist healthcare providers and administrative staff with maintaining patient flow to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently
Serve as a backup for team members as appropriate when needed due to staffing needs including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.
Attend clinical meetings and training sessions meetings pertinent to position
Maintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with patients, providers, clinical and clerical team members
Maintain college certifications or licensures as applicable
Must be BLS certified
Perform all other administrative duties as assigned.

Competencies:

Knowledge of electronic medical record and practice management systems, Telus PS Suites an asset
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of medical office safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations

Computer Skills

Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.

Education and Experience:

Must be a Regulated Health Care Professional (Laboratory Technician, Registered Practical Nurse or equivalent)
Experiencing initiating IVs (strongly preferred)
Experience in Interventional Pain (an asset)

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary:
$17.00-$30.00 per hour
