    Responsibilities:

    § Design of low, medium and high voltage electrical distribution systems (emphasis on low and medium voltage distribution systems)

    § Design and application of motor control centers

    § Detailed design of power and control cabling layouts

    § Detailed design of outdoor substation and electrical building layouts

    § 2D Drafting (AutoCAD)

    § Various Steady State and Transient Power System Analyses

    § Project Management on large scale projects with overseeing of approximately 3-5 teams members at a time

    § Development of large scale bid proposals

    § Development of total installed cost estimates

    § Development of Construction Work Packages, Scope and Specification documents

    § Outage and Execution Planning

    § Evaluation of Tender Packages

    § Approval of Vendor Drawings

    § Document Control (QA/QC)

    § Client Correspondence

    § Ability to work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines

    Experience:

    § Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language

    § 7+ years relevant industry experience in the design and analysis of electrical distribution systems (required)

    § Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Bluebeam PDF editor

    § Proficiency with proprietary power system software (e.g. ETAP, SKM, ATP-EMTP, EMTP-RV, ASPEN, PSS/e, CYME, PSCAD, etc.)

    § Thorough knowledge of relevant codes and standards (CSA C22.1, NFPA 70E, CSA Z462, IEEE Std C2, etc.)

    § Understanding in the coordination with other engineering disciplines and trades as required within the construction process

    Qualifications:

    § Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)

    § Registration with APEGA or other interprovincial governing body with ability to transfer (required)

    Salary:Minimum starting salary of $120,000 per year
