Director of Learning and Development to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization.

Reporting to the President, you will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning and development (L&D) strategy that will empower our team members across Canada to excel in their roles, drive organizational growth, and contribute to our continued success.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Duties and Responsibilities:_

Develop a Learning and Development Strategy: Design and execute a strategic plan for training and development initiatives that aligns with our company's strategic goals and priorities and fosters a culture of continuous learning. Implement, manage, and maintain a Learning Management System (LMS).

Program Management: Design, oversee and manage a portfolio of learning programs aligned with the L&D strategy, including leadership development, mentorship and sponsorship program, onboarding new hires, safety and technical training, and other professional development initiatives. Create a robust training program for each employee group in the organization, including branch operations, sales, counter representatives, mechanics, etc.

Program Assessment and Enhancement:Design and implement robust assessment methods to gauge the effectiveness of learning programs, leveraging data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

Career Development: Identify high-potential individuals within the organization and create career development paths, with a special focus on entry-level positions, ensuring a pipeline of talent for key positions.

Leadership and Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing training and development team, setting clear objectives, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Leverage Technology: Explore and incorporate innovative training technologies and e-learning solutions to enhance the learning experience and accessibility.


What You'll Bring to the Team:


  • Qualifications and Requirements:_
-
Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources, Education, Business, or a related field.
-
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated expertise in designing and executing customized learning and development programs, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate, influence and engage cross-functional teams.
-
Leadership and Coaching Skills: Ability to motivate and develop individuals and teams at all levels.
-
Strong Facilitation and Presentation Skills:Ability to connect and engage at the individual, team, and company levels.
-
Strategic Learning and Development Partner: A commitment to identifying trends and best practices in L&D to consistently enhance our learning solutions, aligned with our strategic priorities.

Experience with the construction or rental industry and being Bilingual (French) are an asset.
