What responsibilities will you have in this role?

  • Ascertains needs, provides information, resolves problems and redirects inquiries accordingly.
  • Corresponds with potential students/applicants and track enrollment.
  • Maintains articulation agreements and advise students/potential students on academic pathways.
  • Prepares communications to students and applicants sending critical dates calendar, deadline notices, and other information.
  • Updates web content related to programs, including course outlines.
  • Maintains program records, data, student records and class lists; liaises with Registration to ensure student records are accurate.
  • Organizes events including pre/postconvocation reception, information sessions, partner information sessions, guest lecturers and others.
  • Responsible for program scheduling (AI, Rooms, instructors attached to CRNs).
  • Coordinates grade entry with program teachers; prepare student records for convocation.
  • Schedules intake interviews and advising appointments with Faculty Coordinators.
  • Produces reports to assist managers with planning and decisionmaking, and for sharing information with internal and external stakeholders including the International Centre, Registrar's Office, Dean's Office, and external organizations as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications do you need for this role?

  • Three year diploma/degree or equivalent from a recognized postsecondary institution in Business Administration or equivalent (e.g. Adult Education, Communications, International Relations, etc.).
  • Minimum two years' experience including practical experience working in a demanding student service environment and working effectively on the frontline; with a sound knowledge navigating computer software (e.g. spreadsheets, databases and relational databases).
  • Proficiency in Banner and Academic Interface is an asset.
  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and leadership skills; strong interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to customer service as this is key in supporting the success of our students and our College.
  • Welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills in order to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and select appropriate actions.
  • High degree of diplomacy and discretion in dealing with sensitive issues and matters of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions while dealing with conflicting demands and distractions; ability to prioritize and delegate work while meeting deadlines; detailed oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative; solutionfocused approach to addressing challenges; dynamic, positive, enthusiastic, and creative; excellent team skills.
  • Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience, and styles.
  • Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decisionmaking processes.

Hours of Work: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
