E-Commerce Category Specialist

Full-Time Permanent

As the leading clothing retailer of finer menswear based in Toronto and operating in major centres across Canada, Harry Rosen has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Full-time E-Commerce Category Specialist, as part of our Ecommerce Team within Central Office.

We are seeking a professional to join our E-Commerce Department and be accountable for the following responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing

  • Execute plans to achieve established sales targets and onsite KPI's to support the business goals
  • Participate in the development of the overall marketing calendar
  • Recommend products to be used in marketing campaigns and product capsules
  • Identify products, categories and brands needing additional support by paid media, social, organic search
  • Develop action plans to accelerate category and brand growth
  • Review and create actionable insights on products with low conversion rates
Product Management

  • Act as SME on product knowledge through buyer collaboration, store visits and independent research
  • Identify actionable insights on maximizing opportunities in product assortment and content (i.e. description, photography, features)
  • Determine optimal sort, feature, and product pairings
  • Propose A/B testing on product information and placement accurately represented
  • Present regular feedback on copywriting and photography standards
  • Advise on product client journey (PDP/PRP) and plans to shorten path to purchase
  • Collaborate with vendors on optimal selling tactics and positioning of products
  • Monitor all competitive and industry activities regarding merchandising, marketing, assortment, pricing and promotions
Communication & Reporting

  • Prepare regular reporting on KPI's of individual product pages
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Merchant and Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Store Sales and Digital Sales) to keep abreast of store selling tactics and client experience feedback
University Degree or College Diploma in digital planning or merchandising skills

  • Experience in positions with demonstrated influence and collaboration
  • An exceptional orientation to detail
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proven ability involving crossfunctional team work/projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong sense of urgency with the proven ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional computer skills, specifically Excel, as well as Word, and Outlook
  • Retail experience, an asset
