Holiday Inn Express & Suites Point Edward/Sarnia is located at Highway 402 off exit 1 near the Blue Water Bridge International Border Crossing.

Our 115 room Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Point Edwards, Ontario is looking for someone to lead our team.

We are conveniently located at 1460 Venetian Blvd. Point Edward, Ontario.


Your day to day
We're on the lookout for true leaders. We need a new General Manager to take the top job and make it their own.

Taking ownership of the day-to-day hotel direction, maximizing financial returns, driving people development and empowering our team to create memorable guest experiences every step along the way.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the entire hotel team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast, ensuring adherence to brand standards and highquality service delivery.
• Manage the hotel's budget, monitor financial performance, implement costcontrol measures, and drive revenue generation through effective sales and marketing efforts.
• Uphold and enhance IHG's brand standards, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and satisfaction at all times.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff members, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth within the team.
• Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide regular feedback to enhance performance
• Oversee HR related actions in accordance with company rules and policies
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and hotel assets
• Develop and carry out action plans to be environmentallyconscious by taking steps to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint
• Perform any additional duties and tasks, as assigned.

What we need from you

• 5+ yrs. experience in hotel operations, in a management role
• College diploma or equivalent plus at least three (3) years of General Manager experience in a midscale/select service brand
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, F&B, financial management, and guest service principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and make strategic decisions to drive business success.

Salary:
$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
