What You'll Do Here

Laboratory/field inspection and testing of asphalt, aggregates, soils and concrete.
Field testing to include sampling, coring and compaction of various materials.
Lab testing in accordance with contractual specifications using CSA, ASTM, OPSS and AASHTO methods.
Assist in proper care, control and maintenance of testing equipment.
Follow all company and regulatory safety policies and procedures.
Assist when required with Geotechnical investigations.
Complete reports and checklists as per company policies and/or contract requirements and advise supervisors of any nonconformances and deviations.
Must be able to work on remote projects.
Must be able to perform shiftwork including weekends.
Perform other duties as instructed.

What You Bring to the Team

Postsecondary education in a 2 or 3year college program such as Civil / Construction Engineering or equivalent program is an asset.
CCIL certification is an asset but not required.
Prior construction or testing experience is an asset but not required.
Strong problemsolving skills with excellent oral and written communication.
Able to use and maintain hand and power tools.
Must have a valid G driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
Able to perform heavy lifting >25kg.
Able to work in a fastpaced environment with extended hours.
