Within Sopra Steria's Cybersecurity division (I2S), you will join the global SOC team as a
SOC Analyst (Security Operations Center) -
Internship in our Toronto office, reporting to the Senior SOC Analyst.

As a SOC Analyst Intern, you will be an integral part of our cybersecurity defense team, learning about various security technologies, threat intelligence, and incident response procedures.

This internship presents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-time threat monitoring and mitigation, contributing to the protection of our clients' critical assets and information.

Sopra Steria Infrastructure & Security Services (I2S) is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our SOC team to monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various security systems
  • Assist in triaging and prioritizing security incidents based on their severity, relevance, and potential impact: Learn to differentiate between false positives and genuine threats
  • Support the collection and analysis of threat intelligence data to enhance the organization's understanding of emerging threats and vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with SOC Analysts to investigate security incidents and anomalies
  • Analyze security data to identify potential patterns and indicators of compromise
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and detailed incident logs, documentation, and reports related to security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts
  • Assist in managing and finetuning security tools for optimal performance
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques by actively participating in training sessions and workshops

Requirements:


  • Must be a University/College student
  • Highschool degree, and currently pursuing a postsecondary degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT)
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and IT solutions and a desire to build a career within the technology industry
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and adapt to evolving priorities and tasks
  • Familiarity with SOC tools is a plus : EDR/XDR, Vulnerability management, SIEM
  • Previous work in a multicultural environment
  • English required / French is a plus
