Description

Sandhills Manufacturing, an established, family run stair and railing company requires a full time estimator for its Finished Stair, Railing and Molding Divisions located in West Edmonton.

Applicants should possess good computer skills, with knowledge of both Microsoft Excel and Word being important. A good eye for detail, organization, and effective communication are a priority as well. Some design or inside sales experience would prove useful.

This position is perfect for someone with knowledge of wood or woodworking.

Construction related and woodworking experience is not essential, but knowledge of the construction industry or experience with estimating or reading plans would definitely be beneficial.

• Learning and understanding the basics and parts of stair and railing systems
• Receiving, printing and understanding residential construction plans
• Estimating stair, railing, and molding costs
• Timely communication and delivery of completed quotes to customers
• Requesting and organizing customer purchase orders
• Meeting with customers in the showroom to discuss their needs and selections
• Assisting customers with orders occasionally

$24.00-$30.00 per hour
