What will you do?

Reporting to the President, the GM is accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the Club facility and grounds as well as enhancing member and guest experience.

Your entrepreneurial spirit will assist the organization in maintaining strong relationships with guests and members, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability and meeting business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as ambassador toward all club members, guests and the public; while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and members
• Managing the facility and grounds
• Enhancing Member and Guest experience
• Leading people, scheduling and training of staff
• Increasing our online presence
• Managing budget resources and focusing on the growth of the club while managing the bottom line
• Engaging with vendors to provide value to the Club
• Interfacing with building Lessor to ensure facility maintenance and lease compliance
• Supporting the long and shortrange plans by working in concert with the Board of

Directors and appropriate committees and implementing/refining best practices


What does it take?

• Previous experience in a management or leadership role
• Experience in a golf or curling club preferred
• Point of Sale experience would be considered an asset
• Microsoft Office experience a plus
• Willingness to flex hours based on guest and member events

in the city of Waterloo, Ontario; operates nine months of the year as a top-level Curling facility along with year-round meeting and banquet activity.

Salary:
$39,652.58-$109,483.63 per year


Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Waterloo, ON N2L 3B6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
