    As ATB's Sustainable Procurement Director, you play a vital role in integrating sustainability and diversity practices into ATB's procurement and supply chain.

    This newly-created, individual contributor role will collaborate with various stakeholders to design and deliver a comprehensive sustainable procurement program that supports ATB's Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) objectives.

    The Sustainable Procurement Director will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

    This role will engage internally with key stakeholders and externally with community organizations, industry groups, diverse vendors, and peer organizations.

    Steer the vision, prioritize efforts, set short and long term plans for the Third Party Relationships sustainable procurement strategy in line with the overall long-term enterprise strategy
    Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies and policies aligned with ATB's ESG commitments including social impact, Indigenous Relations, vendor diversity, environmental initiatives and compliance with relevant legislation
    Create and implement a vendor diversity action plan and program, including Indigenous community engagement plans with calendar and tactics outlining key topics for engagement
    Evolve and integrate ESG criteria and standards in sourcing, procurement and vendor management procedures and provide guidance and training to internal teams
    Manage vendor diversity engagement program program including:
    program for knowledge/skills transfer to the diverse communities
    documenting feedback and lessons learned to integrate into sustainable procurement strategy
    Leading information sessions on procurement to increase awareness and understanding of procurement processes for potential Indigenous vendors

    Identify Indigenous businesses, including an Indigenous business declaration & verification process, and maintain an Indigenous vendor database for the organization
    Establish baseline metrics and plan future metrics strategy on how we will advance sustainable procurement in support of ATB's strategy
    Identification of diverse vendors for ongoing sourcing and procurement processes
    Manage vendor engagement and communication programs to raise awareness, build capabilities and foster collaboration on sustainability issues and best practices with incumbent vendors
    Maintain a real-time view of sustainable procurement program, serve as a core information and resource conduit for sustainable procurement within and outside of business unit, and work with partners across the enterprise to execute, validate, review and ensure we are advancing the sustainable procurement roadmap
    Identify, monitor and evaluate sustainability trends, risk, and opportunities in the supply chain to embed learning into the sustainable procurement program, provide recommendations and insights to enhance sustainability performance and innovation
    Measure and provide data driven insights on sustainable procurement metrics including diverse representation in procurement processes and spend and utilize them to track against our strategic sustainable procurement goals
    Relationship Management

    Partner, collaborate, and build strong relationships across the organization to build awareness and to integrate sustainable procurement strategies with broader organizational objectives
    Provide strategic advice and guidance on sustainable procurement practices to leadership and stakeholders
    Actively seek advice and feedback from cross functional leadership on the effectiveness and the opportunities with ATB's sustainable procurement program

    ~ University Degree preferably in the business, financial, economic, supply chain or sustainability field. An MBA or relevant professional designation is considered an asset
    ~7+ years of relevant experience within end-to-end third party relationship lifecycle and experience developing and executing supply chain sustainability strategy and programs is considered an asset
    ~ Understanding of Indigenous procurement, diversity and inclusion, environmental stewardship and ESG legislative requirements
    ~ Understanding of procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management and third party risk management practices
    ~ Ability to effectively create, interpret and act on data visualizations and analytics
    ~ Strong project management skills including project risk and issue management, strategic planning, change management and systems thinking
