Are you an experienced frontline leader that enjoys mentoring, managing, and coordinating? We're seeking a team lead to join our Upgrading Hydrotreating team in Fort McMurray.

The Team Lead is accountable for the day-to-day management of safe, stable, efficient, and reliable production within the operating area and all aspects of personnel management at the frontline level.

Minimum Requirements:

10 or more years of field operations or related experience in upgrading, refinery or oil and gas industry Supervisory or leadership experience in a complex, dynamic operating environment Deep understanding of maintenance, operations, and process safety standards 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee a unionized workforce in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and ensure development and competency of the crew
Ensure all aspects of the Alberta Boilers Safety Association regulations are implemented in accordance with the applicable codes and acts
Assist with planning equipment isolation, control of hazardous energy and confined space entry preparation. Maintain a visible presence in the field to foster employee engagement and assess work process effectiveness
Prepare and review operational job plans by investigating work requirements, preparing logical breakdowns and sequencing of work tasks taking into account multicraft alignment
Lead troubleshooting initiatives and engage appropriate crossfunctional resources to analyze and correct operational and equipment problems

Location & other key details- You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta- The shift schedule is a 6 days on / 6 days off rotation (3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 days off; 12-hour shifts)- This position is safety sensitive- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
