General Summary:
The Sales Associate Lead job description mirrors that of the

Sales Associate:
to provide a complete shopping experience with memorable customer service.

The Sales Associate Lead's role differs in that the _SAL _will function as keyholder and primary point of contact for Elements HQ, all customers, and all other stakeholders in the absence of the Store Manager.

Beyond this responsibility the Sales Associate Lead's primary role is to be present on the Sales Floor and engage customers.

Sometimes the Sales Associate Lead may be asked to support other channels of the business such as Back of House Operations or the Webstore.

Sales Associate Lead _Primary task as needed_


Sales and Customer Service _Primary task_

Be present on the Sales Floor with a positive, outgoing attitude Welcome every customer into the Store Share with customers what is going on in the Store today (sales, feature products, upcoming events, environmental causes and initiatives) Ask Open Ended questions to determine what our customer wants Maintain current product knowledge Know what we have in stock, and where it's merchandised on the Sales Floor Use resources effectively to answer customer inquiries and to find products for customers that are not available at your location Understand Features and Benefits and appropriately communicate these to the customer

Understand care and characteristics of products and include this information in your selling conversations Be attentive to customers in the fitting rooms and assist/offer suggestions as needed Be able to suggest items that enhance the sale (Tech wash to a rain shell, base layer snow pants) Offer honest feedback in a positive manner and affirm customer decisions when appropriate


Sales Floor Maintenance _Primary task _

Keep Sales Floor always looking its best Garments organized by size run smallest to largest Hangers faced and properly spaced Garments Steamed Folded garments on the same board and neatly stacked Keep the Sales Floor looking full and abundant, replenished as needed Check fitting rooms for garments and clean daily Dust fixtures and sweep on a daily basis Keep back counter and cash wrap tidy and professional looking Empty trash and recycling


Communication _Expectation_


Store Operations _Expectation_

Understand the warranty/repair process, accurately receive inventory into the system and give best possible customer service to our warranty/repair customers Open and close registers Operate 3rd party shipping software (UPS and Canada Post) Accurately pull and process web orders


Environmental Awareness/Activism _Expectation_

Behave in an environmentally conscious way and help the store create an environmentally friendly workspace Reduce, reuse, and recycle Understand our supplier's stance on the environment, and be able to engage customers with conversations about the environmental benefits of our products (i.e. recycled materials, regenerative cotton, reduced carbon footprint etc.) Be able to engage with our customers and inform them about the work our environmental partners in the community are doing and the initiatives we are supporting Support environmental petitions/calls to action by soliciting customer input


Back of House _Expectation_

Understand BOH organization and effectively pull inventory as needed Contribute to BOH maintenance and help keep the stockroom tidy Sticker new product Replenish the Store from back stock Clean washrooms when asked

If you are going to be late or absent it is your responsibility to inform Store Leadership as soon as possible, and to get your shift covered if necessary Always keep conversations on the Sales Floor professional Take pride in your appearance, though casual dress is encouraged you should be presentable at all times Rep our brands by wearing the product whenever possible Hats should not be worn in any customer facing role Logoed competing brands should not be worn in any customer facing role


Training _Expectation_

It is the responsibility of every employee to be proactive in their training Take advantage of training opportunities that are offered and seek out training in the areas you are deficient Be open and approachable, share your knowledge with your teammates Offer feedback to Store Leadership about training opportunities


Physical Requirements _Expectation _ Be able to safely lift boxes up to 50 lbs. Be comfortable climbing and working on a ladder Stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time
