Position Overview


This position will perform multiple job functions efficiently by acquiring knowledge of lean with a focus on safety, the highest quality, best known service, disassembly, and assembly practices.

Service Technician will accurately diagnose, repair, and test all internal and customer-owned gas detection equipment in a timely manner. They will follow the highest quality, and in accordance with ISC policies and procedures. This person will work on a collaborative team and will actively undergo continuous improvement by participating in Fortive Business Systems (FBS) initiatives and the ISC Kaizen program

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Diagnose and repair internally owned and customer owned equipment

Disassemble and assemble internally owned equipment

Accessories cleaning

Support other departments as required and instructed

Follow Service Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Communicate process or product issues as necessary

Proactively seek continuous improvement of Service Department processes (Kaizen)

Maintain a clean, safe, and functional work area (5S)

Perform any duties deemed fit by their manager

Organizational Alignment

Reports to the Team Lead, Service Repairs


Qualifications:

Required

Basic computer and typing skills

Exceptional communication skills

Exceptional problem-solving skills

Well organized and capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong interpersonal skills

The ability to stand for extended periods of time

Exceptional adaptability

Established commitment to providing the best customer service, every transaction, every time

Highly organized and capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred

Technical background with proven ability to perform repairs

Experience providing excellent customer service

Knowledge of toxic and explosive gas monitoring

Ability to use Excel, and Microsoft tools
