Description

The EI&C Engineering Resource Manager (RM) is responsible for developing and maintaining a highly functioning team that can successfully deliver their associated scope on the projects in their portfolio. This includes the training/development and ongoing performance management of their direct reports, the tracking of capacity for workload assignment and management as well as monitoring and controlling to ensure the team is delivering on time and with quality. The Resource Manager must also coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to overcome challenges and manage workload as necessary.

Main Responsibilities

Employee Development/Resource Management
  • Work with their employees to understand strengths,development areas and career interests/aspirations. Enable staff to achieve their potential by providing real time feedback, coaching/mentoring, identifying opportunities for development and creating development plans. Establish team and employee goals and conduct performance reviews.

Workload Management/Quality Assurance
  • Forecast workload and capacity for direct reports. Collaborate with other RM's within the EI&C Team to balance workload and manage through conflicting priorities. Develop plans and leverage expertise to ensure all deliverables are completed ontime with quality. Monitor team performance and proactively communicate when deliverables are at risk. Guide team to remove identified project obstacles and work with crossfunctional stakeholders to resolve project issues when required.

Work Process Management
  • Establish the desired culture within the team. Build a safe and inclusive environment where issues can be raised early and proactively. Monitor and control team performance. Ensure the team understands and is compliant with work processes collaborate with market teams to streamline execution processes. Work closely with the Lead Engineering Manager & Project Management Leader under assigned market segments to optimise efficiency of project execution and increase focus on market specific customer needs

Minimum Qualification
-
Bachelor of Science, Engineering or equivalent.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in the industry or discipline
-
Ability to establish relationships and collaborate effectively with others - facilitate discussions

and assist with identifying solutions and alternate approaches

Strong and broad understanding of project execution cycle

Ability to coach and mentor

Strong verbal and written communication skills
