Location: Remote, working for a Saskatchewan client (must adhere to Sask business hours, Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM CST)

Position Overview

Hammehr invites applications for the role of Guidewire Senior Policy Center Developer on behalf of our client for a 12-month contract opportunity. In this role, the candidate can expect to build and develop solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter, collaborate with the integrations team, and provide mentorship to junior developers.

What You'll Do

• Build and develop solutions and enhancements within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Collaborate with the integrations team on policy-related integrations.
• Advise on best practices and approaches for enhancements within PolicyCenter.
• Mentor and work with developers on the team.
• Create and update reference documentation as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience working and developing within Guidewire Cloud to build and enhance PolicyCenter solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of GW Cloud and GW Cloud integration platforms to effectively collaborate on policy-related integrations.
• Strong mentoring skills to guide and support junior developers on the team.
• Ability to create and update reference documentation to maintain clear and comprehensive records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Guidewire Ace Certification to ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Previous experience in insurance industry projects to provide context and understanding of policy-related solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies to participate effectively in an Agile development environment.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with other Guidewire modules (e.g., BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) to offer broader support across the platform.
• Prior involvement in cloud migration projects to contribute to any ongoing or future migration efforts.
