Salary Range:
$91,909 - $107,829 annually


We are currently seeking a
full-time permanent Associate Director, Information Technology Services, who will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of ITS department staff, infrastructure, systems and services provided to Canadian Mental Health Association Peel Dufferin Branch (CMHA) enabling delivery of mental health and addictions services.

This position is based out of our
Hurontario St. office in Brampton, working 37.5 hours a week. CMHA Peel Dufferin has adapted to a hybrid working model including a mix of on-site and remote work. Staff are required to have onsite presence 2-3 times, or more if needed, to meet client and/or program needs.


What you will do

  • Work with the Director of Innovation to implement the IT strategic plan by defining information needs, priorities, technical architectures, standards and approaches relevant to implementation of the IT strategy
  • Manage a team of IT specialists and all IT department operations, including enduser support, vendor management, purchase and maintenance of software licenses and maintenance agreements, asset tracking, inventory management, maintenance and replacement
  • Applies project management methodologies for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of IT projects, as well as tracking and prioritization of IT projects within the portfolio
  • Monitors and manages the overall IT infrastructure performance against defined KPIs for availability, scalability, security, and maintenance and disaster planning using industry best practices
  • Acts as point of escalation for service desk and infrastructure staff, and manages and provides technical guidance to the Support Services team in escalated situations
  • Participates in annual IT audit to ensures standards are met and identified issues are addressed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, IT leadership of other nonprofit organizations, industry associations to keep abreast of developments and best practices
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on designated operational budget in consultation with the Director
  • Manages all aspects of people management for IT department direct reports including recruitment, orientation, coaching, mentoring, performance management and learning and development

What you need to join our team

  • Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience is an asset
  • Eight to ten years of professional management experience leading IT teams working with large, complex technology platforms with an understanding of infrastructure, telecommunications and operations
  • Minimum of five years of leadership and people management experience, preferably in the health, social services or notfor profit sector
  • A proven record of accomplishments in project and budget management
  • Proven competencies and experience in managing IT services through ITIL standards
  • Experience with project management and vendor management is required
  • Proven skills and experience managing people, leading a team, and supporting crossteam collaboration
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Microsoft technology platforms including Office 365, Windows, and the Azure cloud platform
  • Excellent knowledge of PC, OS, networking troubleshootin
