The EHS Coordinator at Powerline Plus Ltd. performs a variety of health and safety responsibilities for the Environmental, Health and Safety Department.

The EHS Coordinator participates actively and maintains ongoing relations with Human Resources, EHS Field Safety Inspectors, various department managers, and field staff.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of postsecondary education for Health and Safety, Administrative Assistant, Business Administration, Office Administration or other related discipline
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in Health and Safety
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist EHS Manager with managing WSIB case files. Organizing, filing and completing the forms
  • Track field safety inspections & tracking reports that are generated by EHS inspectors and supervisors
  • Scheduling and coordinating safety training programs and courses
  • Ensuring accuracy of EHS Admin entering and tracking all employee training courses / certifications in internal database
  • Deliver safety meeting content to various departments within the company
  • Typing reports, memos and other correspondence
  • Managing Sub Contractor files and ensuring accuracy
  • Identify training gaps and work with EHS manager to schedule the training to be completed
  • Assist with injury and incident investigations as required (mainly in the office environment)

  • Attend various safety meetings (hours must be flexible)
  • Other various assignments as required by the EHS Manager
