The Thames Valley Family Health Team (TVFHT) is one of the largest family health teams in Ontario.

With more than 115 affiliated physicians across London, Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties, the Thames Valley Family Health Team is committed to providing comprehensive inter-collaborative primary health care to the communities we serve.


The Executive Assistant for Governance & Executive contributes to the efficient day-to-day operations of the TVFHT and the attainment of its goals.

The Executive Assistant will provide support to the organization's Executive Director, TVFHT Board of Directors and its Committees, ensuring the efficient and effective operations of TVFHT's governance structure.

Additionally, the EA supports the activities of the broader leadership team, organizational events, and activities as assigned.


Requirements:


  • Post-Secondary school diploma in office or business administration, or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years administrative experience with progressive responsibility; preferably in a health setting
  • Demonstrated experience working as administrative support to a Board of Directors, incorporated as an Ontario NotforProfit Corporation, or equivalent
  • Advanced experience using Office 365, SharePoint and Teams
  • Can commit to a flexible work schedule including evenings

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent writing skills, with ability to compose policy, administrative and other executive documents
  • Interpersonal excellence and relationshipbuilding skills, with an ability to work with a Board of Directors in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive and work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize competing demands
  • Aptitude for quickly becoming familiar with new technologies and equipment
  • Ability to coordinate large amounts of information and documentation for various meetings and events, as well as minutetaking skills
  • Advanced Internet research skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to research and compile relevant information for inclusion in reports
  • Exceptional planning skills
  • Corporate Policy and Procedure coordination
