Student Housing Assistant

Term Part-time (40%) - two days/week

June March 31, 2024

Duties:

Reporting to the Manager of Student Life and Athletics and assisting the Student Housing Coordinator and Student Housing Operations Specialist, this position is responsible for providing administrative support for student housing operations and providing our residents and guests with an appropriate physical and customer service environment.

Responding to inquiries for information from students, employees and the general public; assisting in the management of the student housing waitlist, processing room assignments, calculation and data entry of damage and cleaning charges, processing payments and producing routine office correspondence.

This position will provide consistently exceptional customer service to students, employees and the general public.


Qualifications:
Office Administration Certificate with a minimum 1 year of related experience in a customer service role along with;

  • Proficiency in MS Office software, and experienced with Excel
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment, debit/credit terminal
  • Good business math; able to count change
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, supportive of multicultural environment and consumer needs
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
