- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Recent Vulnerable Sector check
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of ECEs (if RECE)
- Up to date immunization record
- Good communication (oral and written) and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel
- Must be able to plan and assist with daily program and activities following an emergent curriculum
- Must be able to maintain proper documentation
- Food Handlers certificate (preferred)
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children under 6 that promote physical, cognitive and social development
- Complete daily observations of children and prepare documentation of their learning
- Communicate with families to foster an open and collaborative relationship and actively encouraging their participation in the program
- Assist children with mealtimes, naptime, toileting and dressing
- Work collaboratively with Tiny Hoppers staff
- Adhere to Halton Region and Ministry of Education regulations
- Ensure children are engaged in activities, playing safely and having fun
